PsychLabs Company History

Psychological Laboratories of Indianapolis, P.C. was founded by Dr. Kurt Moehle, a clinical and neuropsychologist.

He noted that there was a need for quality, comprehensive mental health services for people who resided within nursing facilities.

While the medication needs were certainly being addressed by psychiatrists and physicians, and the nursing facilities were arranging for med reviews, performing medication tracking, and establishing plans of care, a more in-depth, resident specific approach by mental health providers was needed to assist both the residents and nursing facilities.

This was the goal set by Dr. Moehle for himself, and his company, PsychLabs.

Continuing with the vision that Dr. Moehle had established in the early ‘90’s, PsychLabs has grown to encompass not only quality provision of care for residents but also comprehensive services to the nursing facilities as well.

Understanding that the staff of nursing facilities are under constant stress and strain due to the highly regulated environment and the physical, mental and emotional demands of working within such a specialized field as Long Term Care, PsychLabs has integrated services to assist with behavior tracking and State and Federal Regulatory compliance.

PsychLabs can tailor nursing facility staff inservicing towards specific conditions, diseases, and even specific residents.

Our reports are not “canned” but represent the actual resident and list resident specific interventions which integrate easily into facility careplans with goals and approaches that are attainable and realistic.

Due to our dedication to continue to provide first rate services, PsychLabs has invested and is continuing to invest heavily in IT in order that our service provision continues to be at the cutting edge of efficiency and efficacy.
