PsychLabs: Services
A. Resident Services
Psychiatrists
Our Psychiatrist provides timely med reviews. Helping the Interdisciplinary team to not only assist the resident to be at optimal functioning but also to assist by maintaining med review requirements.
Psychologists
Our Psychologists are our “pace-setters”. They provide the Initial Mental Status by which all Clinical, neuropsych, psychotherapy/behavior therapy, and testing services are set. Our patients undergo a 90 day Utilization Review to determine continued need for services.
Licensed Clinical Social Workers
Our LCSW provide the main brunt of the psychotherapy and behavior therapy. These clinicians are well versed in the needs of nursing facility residents, and work to integrate those services with facility efforts.
Tester/Assessors
Serving not only as psychological testing agents, all of our Tester/Assessors are skilled data gatherers which allows our other clinicians to get a more accurate view of the resident, and also provides another key component to the nursing facility for the required behavior tracking (in relation to med effectiveness.)

Resident Care
We attempt to treat the resident as a whole person, not just as a set of symptoms or behaviors Since the resident’s home is the nursing facility, we tailor our services to assist the resident in adjusting to her home environment.

Medication Review
Both our Psychiatrist , and Psychologists can provide medication reviews that assist the resident to remain at her optimal level of functioning. Or, if a facility prefers, we can work alongside of the facility’s psychiatrist and the resident’s primary to provide extended comprehensive services.

Behavior Assessment/Reporting
Our program is designed to provide the most realistic picture of the resident and is based on data gathered from the patient record, patient and staff interview, and by observation. Our assessment allows the clinician to get a clear picture of the main behavioral issues, and baseline severity level.
Psychotherapy/Behavior Therapy
Our Social Workers are well versed in assisting residents with mental health issues whether the problems stem from family relationship difficulties to situational adjustment problems. For residents who would no longer benefit from psychotherapy due to a decrease in cognitive state, we can utilize Behavior Therapy to help decrease depression, anxiety, and other types of behavioral symptoms.
